Make medieval arm armour! Beginner Course - Saturday 4th October

£250.00

Join us at LARPsmith and pick up a hammer to spend the day making your own medieval armour for LARP or your next favourite costume from Aluminium!

Saturday 4th October 2025 with space for up to 3 people

The day begins at 9.30am on a pre arranged Saturday, where we begin with showing you armouring techniques such as curling, dishing and planishing on the lower and upper cannon of your arms which are made to your measurements.

Then learn to roll the edges and punch holes to place the staps and buckles!

After a short lunch we get back to it and then make the couter (elbow) practicing your dishing and planishing skills and now learning how to flare an edge to make complex curves.

Finishing the day you will dye the leather straps for your armour and learn to put a buckle together and how to rivet and assemble the pair of arms.

This is not a passive tutorial—it’s a real workshop. You’ll sweat, you’ll struggle, and you’ll grow. If you find the work physically or technically demanding, our team will be right beside you to guide, adapt, and support. We believe in learning through doing, and we’re committed to helping every participant leave with pride in their creation.
